A Unique Partnership With An Incredible Non-profit Organization!
Remember that feeling you get when the cashier asks if you want to make a donation and you reply “Yes please, add a dollar to my bill,” and your smile instantly grows. It’s that noble, happy feeling you get just like when you slide a dollar in the donation box near the entrance of a shop. Your good deed of the day is filled and your brain instantly gets a sense of pleasure. This is the exact reaction I had when the Old Mill Winery announced their new wine “Wags and Whiskers.” You must be thinking why someone would can get the same feeling of making a donation towards a cause and hearing about a new wine. Especially a wine with a name like that, “Wags and Whiskers.”
This October, The Old Mill Winery will release “Wags and Whiskers,” a delicious semi sweet wine, with a specialty designed label by local artist Pinkie Mistry. The label has the cutest cat and adorable puppy eyed dog I have ever seen, almost as cute as my puppy but not quite of course. Just by looking at the label you instantly want to pick up the bottle to discover the purpose for this label and wine.
Supporting the Sevier County Humane Society With Wine!
The Old Mill Winery has partnered with the Sevier County Humane Society. To help their cause the winery created this specialty wine label to help raise funds. So when I go purchase a bottle of wine or maybe even two bottles, a dollar will be donated to the non-profit organization. The donation might even go towards building a new location which will help shelter homeless pets in the Smoky Mountain Region.
The Sevier County Humane Society is a great place that helps our fluffy friends find a good home. It is also a good place for our pets to be brought to if they were lost. I can’t even begin to imagine my puppy being stranded alone in the middle of nowhere. The organization even created a program called SPOT (Stop Pet Overpopulation Today.) This program helps prevent unwanted births that will lead to lowering the percentage of animal abandonment.
Without a doubt we love all our animals. If given a chance to help an organization that helps save lives why not. And what better way than to drink up a glass of Wags and Whiskers. Cheers!

There are ample opportunities to help out the Sevier County Humane Society. Check out their website http://www.sevierhumane.org/ and start volunteering. The Old Mill Winery will also hold adoption events later this year. This would be a great time to add an additional member to your family.
