Leaves, Pumpkins, and Football
The kids have started a new school year and in the early, pre-dawn hours of the morning a subtle nip can be felt in the air. Yes, the signs are all around us and they can not be denied, summer is coming to a close and fall is on the horizon once more. This time of year is always meet with a bit of personal sadness for me. I like most people are more than a little reluctant to let the least remaining carefree moments of summer slip away.
This feeling lasts about a day or so until I am reminded how much I love fall. Fall is my absolute favorite season (full disclosure this blogger has been known to say this about every season)! My love of fall can be captured in three words: football, leaves, and pumpkin. Who doesn’t love cheering on their favorite college team, going for a walk surrounded by the every changing foliage, and discovering all the new scrumptious pumpkin creations.
New Fall Wine Release
However, I have just discovered a new reason to embrace the season and that is Autumn Path, the upcoming seasonal Tino wine at Sugarland Cellars. Robert A. Tino managed to perfectly capture what the image of fall in the Smoky Mountains can be in the artwork for this label, which alone is worth purchasing a bottle. The wine like the label is a tribute to fall. This semi-sweet seasonal has a clean, crisp finish with notes of clove and vanilla that perfectly embodies the essence of fall. As with our other seasonal wines, we will bottle a thousand bottles of this limited edition wine and continue our partnership with Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains. Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
For each bottle of Autumn Path that is sold, a portion of the sale will be donated to the Friends of the Smoky Mountains to help fund this cause that holds a special place in our hearts. Our goal is to raise $100,000 for the Smoky Mountain National Park, and with any purchase of a Tino wine (Autumn Path, Century Red, or Century White) you can help us make this goal a reality. So come on down to Sugarland Cellars on September 9th, 2016 for the release of Autumn Path and take a taste of fall home with you! And for those of you who cannot join us in time to grab a bottle, consider joining the Robert A. Tino Artist Series Wine Club: More Info Here!
