. . Or as we say it here in Tennessee, The Volunteer Nouveau has arrived Y’all.
Introducing The Volunteer Nouveau
Mountain Valley Winery will be releasing a new red wine the third Thursday in November, called The Volunteer Nouveau.
In honor of the French holiday, Beaujolais Nouveau Day, winemaker, Doug Seitz has decided to celebrate the most loved festival in France by introducing his own version of Nouveau.
Beaujolais Nouveau, a very popular wine, made by the first batch of grapes from harvest year. Harvest season begins early August, 12 weeks later Nouveau is bottled and served, if not shorter. As you can guess, Volunteer Nouveau is essentially a young wine with fruit flavored characteristics and smooth mouthfeel.
Using a special artisanal technique, the winemaker speeds up fermentation and is able to create a unique wine that is meant to be served and enjoyed within weeks.
Volunteer Nouveau is a very special limited edition wine that will be released November 16th, 2017 at Mountain Valley Winery. Made from 2017 Chambourcin grapes, the wine offers a clean fruity taste with a smooth dry finish. There are less than 500 bottles bottled.
